How to Make a Website that's Right for You
Do you think it is time to actually take the plunge and make a website? I hope so for your sake. You see, while it is becoming easier and easier to make a website, as I will show you, it is becoming more difficult to get visitors.
Let me put it into perspective. When people first gained regular access to the Internet, many of these people didn't know or want to know how to make a website. The web was full of companies and larger sites that served the majority of Internet users. Then it became more accessible for normal albeit tech savvy people to throw their hat in the ring. These people found that they actually stood a chance and began to compete with the large companies.
The web was no longer a place for large companies to blast out their advertising message, and everyday users had an opportunity to find helpful information. This information came from people just like them, and these websites in turn became immensely popular.
But you need to get started. The longer you wait, the more you sit around and think about making a website, the more challenging it will become. This is why I am so adamant that you shouldn't spend your time trying to learn how to code HTML. This is how I started making websites nearly a decade ago. No, there are many different ways to build a website, and some of the most successful ones were created by people that had no idea what XHTML, CSS or PHP even were.
If you really want to see how easy a website can be, read my tutorial: Make A Website Step by Step. I should point out that there are only two steps involved. You could have a website up an running within just a few short hours from now.
That leaves you free to start the important and at the same time enjoyable process of making the actual website, its content.
You see, websites aren't only code, they are what is on them. And that is something that new webmasters will often forget. It goes back to the age old question, which came first, the chicken or the egg. By worrying too much about what the website can do and not putting enough effort into what the website is about, success is everything but guaranteed.
And that is what I want for you, your success! Websites can be a great way to share information, generate some extra income or provide you with financial freedom. The Internet is the new great equalizer, so stop wanting to make a website and get started right now!
